MA#49 – GLOBAL CATACLYSM – July 2011

 “Come Lord soon!”

My dear reader,

Crucial world events are like a rushing torrent - rushing on and on to the climax of the age!

What’s happening? Well, these are a few of the events that are currently feeding prophetic expectations.

*    The Greek Economic Bailout has brought up serious implications for the Euro, the European Union, and the world economy.

*    The United States is in Crisis. Can it be saved?

*    The Syrian Uprising.  Assad’s brutal crackdown on protestors has led to a major humanitarian disaster.

*    The Turkish PM has censored Bashar Assad. Erdogan’s involvement with the Syrian refugees crisis, could lead to conflict between them.

*    Lebanon’s New Radical government. And the tribunal investigating the assassination of Rafik Hariri has indicted four major Hizb’ollah leaders, and implicates Syrian President Bashar Assad.

*    There’s an imminent danger of Hizb’ollah starting a major conflict with Israel, to divert attention from the current Syria and Lebanon crises.

*    While Fatah and Hamas attempt to forge a Unity Government, the Palestinian Authority vows to seek UN recognition of a Palestinian state in September.

*    Australia’s irrational drive to impose a “carbon tax.” The real danger is the Coming Global Cataclysm - the Great Tribulation.

The countdown’s getting lower every day my friends!  The Lord is coming!  Let’s look up!  Shalom! -  DS

JUNE 2011. Greece is a nation in crisis. Last year (May 2010), Greece was bailed out by an EU/IMF 110 billion euro rescue package. In May this year, it emerged that Greece will not be able to meet the terms of last year’s rescue.

In early June, the German Finance Minister said he believes Greek bankruptcy is imminent. “We are standing before the real risk of the first full-blown bankruptcy inside the eurozone.”

Greece has found itself at the centre of a storm threatening financial markets, the unity of Europe’s 17-nation currency area, and even the viability of the EU. And the US has warned of a potential threat to world economic recovery.

Athens urgently needed a remaining 12 billion euro payment from last year’s bailout by mid-July, to avert a devastating default. But European leaders insisted that first Greece needed national unity and financial reforms. In order to unlock the funds, Greece needed to impose more unpopular austerity measures on an increasingly restive public.

A major problem for the PM, George Papandreou, is how to quell the protests and riots that have been going on in the streets of Greece over the past year, against the austerity measures which the public bitterly despise.

During these critical days, in a general strike, hundreds of thousands of workers walked off the job ahead of a key vote in parliament. This brought power cuts, and ground transport to a halt. The parliament was surrounded and demonstrations turned violent as protestors threw stones at riot police, and the authorities responded with tear gas.

Britain opposed more EU support for Greece, as investors were not convinced of the ability of Athens to sustain its 40bn euro debt load.

European leaders called on all political parties in Greece to support the program’s main objectives and key policy measures to ensure a rigorous and expeditious implementation. “Given the length, magnitude and nature of required reforms in Greece, national unity is a prerequisite for success,” they said.

The economy chiefs said that the sum of 12 billion euros will be disbursed mid-July - pending the latest EU-IMF-ECB assessment of the country’s compliance with already agreed austerity and structural adjustments and “the passing of key laws on the fiscal strategy and privatisation by the Greek parliament.”

JUNE 23/11. Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou says he’s negotiating a new bailout worth about 110 billion euros ($A150 billion), as Europe enters a crucial 10-day period in the euro crisis.

EU leaders agreed to a fresh bailout of Greece so long as it achieves “national unity,” and passes further stringent austerity measures.

A leading London-based think tank, Open Europe, claimed a fresh bail-out, expected to be around 120 billion euro, (£106 bn), will almost triple taxpayers’ existing exposure to Greek debt. “Despite a second Greek bail-out being EU leaders’ preferred option, it is only likely to increase the economic and political cost of the eurozone crisis,” said Open Europe in a report.

JUNE 22. Papandreou reshuffled the Greek government and won a vote of confidence by the country’s parliament in an attempt to show national unity strength days before a possible national default.

Further funding depends on the Greek parliament adopting a harsher five-year austerity programme amounting to 28 billion euros, as well as 50 billion euros in public asset sales.

austerity plan passeD

JUNE 29. The austerity measures were finally approved despite worsening violence on the streets. The vote secured international funds and prevented the euro zone’s first sovereign default. But it failed to resolve deeper questions about the country’s ability to pay back its debts.

JUNE 21/11. Greece’s debt problems could spiral into a world banking crisis. The IMF, which has contributed to the bailouts of Greece, Portugal and Ireland, urged the 17 eurozone countries to take “decisive action” and turn themselves into a “full integrated” monetary union - to prevent the debt crisis spilling around the world.

JUNE 20/11. The UK’s treasury minister, Mark Hoban, has admitted that London is preparing for a potential break-up of the eurozone. The minister made the controversial comments while under fire from Conservative Party MPs and opposition Labour Party members in Westminster about the implications for the British economy if Greece goes bust.

The most virulent prediction of the euro’s demise came from Labour MP Jack Straw, a former foreign minister, who said: “Instead of sheltering behind complacent language and weasel words that we should not speculate, the government should recognise that this eurozone cannot last ... Since the euro in its current form is going to collapse, is it not better that that happens quickly rather than it dying a slow death?”

On Greece itself, Conservative and Labour MPs were united in their belief that the new bail-out under discussion in Brussels will fail.

John Redwood, a member of the Conservative Party’s policy group on economic competitiveness, said: “Greece went bankrupt more than a year ago, but the ministers of certain countries cannot believe it, and are wasting taxpayers’ money on trying to pretend that it has not happened.”

Labour MP Denis MacShane voiced concern about “a new flood of Greek economic migrants coming into Britain.”

Hoban added that if Greece goes bust, British banks will lose $4 billion (2.8 billion euros) in terms of sovereign bonds, French banks $16 billion and German banks $20 billion.

Anatole Kaletsky, in The Time comments: “Having lifted a large part of the Greek debt burden, Europe can hardly deny equal treatment to Ireland and Portugal, which are far less culpable for their financial plight.

In the end, the credit-worthy euro members will have to accept collective responsibility for about 500 billion euros of Greek, Irish and Portuguese debts if they want to ensure the single currency’s survival.

Politically, however, it will be impossible to transfer this debt from national to pan-European taxpayers without some big institutional changes.

The president of the European Central Bank, Jean-Claude Trichet, said in June, the EU will have to create a new institution fulfilling the key functions of a federal European finance ministry to manage and guarantee public debts on behalf of all the eurozone nations, and to exercise a power of veto over tax, spending and social policies in all the eurozone states.

At present this is unacceptable to public opinion both in solvent countries such as Germany, and bankrupt ones such as Greece.

Ironically, a continuous threat of crisis is the necessary condition for even temporary financial stability in Europe. As for the “quantum leap” to fiscal federalism that Trichet has rightly identified as the key to the crisis, the logical requirement for this to happen is that the crisis must get even worse.

If Europe’s politicians genuinely want to save the euro, they must make the quantum leap to a fiscal federation -  and do it soon.”

One big step towards that quantum leap has been  taken:

JUNE 21/11.  EU finance ministers have put the finishing touches on the eurozone’s massive permanent bail-out fund, giving it an effective lending capacity of 500 billion euros.  -

JUNE 20/11. The International Monetary Fund has bluntly warned the EU it must put an end to its “unproductive debate” over debt restructuring.  And in an unprecedented outside intervention in the construction of the European Union, the IMF told the bloc it must integrate faster and more deeply in order to stop a global disaster.

While “courageous attempts” have been made by the eurozone to address the crisis, “failure to undertake decisive action could rapidly spread the tensions to the core of the euro area and result in large global spillovers,” read a report of the Fund’s review mission investigating the effectiveness of eurozone policies.

Saying “Europe is at a crossroads,” the IMF’s acting director, John Lipsky, in Luxembourg for a meeting with EU finance ministers, declared: “The euro area needs to strengthen economic governance and may need to be more intrusive in terms of national structures.”  A report warned that all the euro area’s efforts so far are not enough to prevent “global spillovers,” and that EU intervention in national economies is necessary. – EUOBSERVER

JUNE 9/11. A recent interview of former British PM, Tony Blair, shows that the Eurofederalists’ delusions of grandeur are firmly alive and remain a huge threat not only to British national sovereignty but also to the future of the transatlantic alliance.

Blair remains wedded to the idea that Britain must be at the heart of a federal Europe, and believes that London should be at the forefront of driving the process of further European integration.

In his interview with The Times, the former PM called for an elected president of the EU, selected by an electorate of nearly 400 million people, which “would give the EU clear leadership and enormous authority on the world stage.” It is essential for Europe to have “strong, collective leadership and direction.” This is necessary, Blair believes, because “we won’t have the weight and influence a country like Britain needs, unless we’re part of that European power as well.”

Significantly, his grand scheme is all about “power, not peace,” with a muscular Brussels supposedly taking on the rising ‘superpower’ in Beijing: “In a world in which China is going to become the dominant power of the 21st century, it is sensible for Europe to combine together, to use its collective weight in order to achieve influence. And the rationale for Europe today therefore is about power, not peace.”

In all but name, Blair is urging the creation of a European superstate, a rival power to both the US and China, one where national sovereignty is pooled in several key areas, including defence and foreign policy, immigration and organised crime, tax policy and energy. The foundations for much of this have already been laid by the Treaty of Lisbon, but Blair’s vision takes the European project considerably further, especially in the area of tax harmonisation and defence.

Blair himself admits that there is little chance of his idea of an elected president being embraced at home at this moment (a position that he no doubt wishes to fill himself), but insists that this is the path that Britain and Europe must ultimately take.

Tony Blair’s vision for a European superstate is a nightmare for anyone who cares about Britain’s future as a free country governed by its own elected representatives.  -

“The Prince of Rome” is undoubtedly behind the scenes right now. The day is drawing near when ...

“...the lawless one (Antichrist) will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the glory of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with great power and with all kinds of signs and counterfeit miracles, and with all the deception of wickedness among those who are perishing, because they would not receive the love of the truth which could have saved them.”  (2 Thessalonians 2:8-10)

When adding in all of the money owed to cover future liabilities in entitlement programs, the US is actually in worse financial shape than Greece and other debt-laden European countries, Pimco’s Bill Gross told CNBC.

JUNE 2011. Jim Rogers, chief executive of Rogers Holdings, warned: “The US is approaching a financial crisis worse than 2008. The debts in this country are skyrocketing,” he said. “In the last three years the government has spent staggering amounts of money, and the Federal Reserve is taking on staggering amounts of debt.

“When the problems arise next time…what are they going to do? They can’t quadruple the debt again. They cannot print that much more money. It’s going to be worse the next time around.”

The US govt is at risk of defaulting on its debt for the first time – with potentially catastrophic consequences – unless agreement is reached before an August 2 deadline to legislate an increase in the debt ceiling.

Republicans are resisting an increase of debt, but want the government to make deep federal budget spending cuts, as high as $US4 trillion over the next ten years.

Rogers believes the government won’t shut down in August if agreement isn’t reached on raising the debt ceiling, but he did say “draconian cuts” are needed in taxes and spending, especially military spending.

“We’ve got troops in 150 countries around the world. They’re not doing us any good, they’re making enemies. And they’re costing us a fortune,” he said.

“The US is the largest debtor nation in the history of the world,” he said. “The debts are going through the roof. Would you keep lending money to somebody who is spending money and doing nothing about it?”

He called Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke a “disaster” who has “never been right about anything” since he’s been in Washington.  The only thing he knows is to print money.”

He predicted that after the Fed ends its QE2 (“rescue plan”), this month, it may come back under another name. “They will bring it back because Bernanke will be terrified and Washington will be terrified. “There’s an election coming in November 2012.  So Washington will print more money.” -

“Come now, you rich, weep and wail because of the miseries that are coming upon you. Your  wealth  has  become  rotten,  and  your garments are moth-eaten.

“Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will testify against you and will consume your flesh like fire. You have hoarded wealth in the Last Days!

“You have lived on the earth in luxury and self-indulgence; you have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter.”                                        (James 5:1-3, 5)

JUNE 8/11. President Obama’s overall approval rating has dropped below 50% as a growing number of Americans worry that the US is likely to slip into another Great Depression within the next 12 months, according to a new national poll.

A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll also indicates that the economy overall remains issue number one to voters, with other economic issues - unemployment, gas prices and the federal deficit.

“The poll reminded respondents that during the Depression in the 1930s, roughly one in four workers were unemployed, banks failed, and millions of Americans were homeless or unable to feed their families. And even with that reminder, nearly half said that another depression was likely in the next 12 months. That’s not just economic pessimism - that’s economic fatalism.”

“If I shut up the heavens and there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, and My people who are called by My Name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:13-14)

Texas Governor Rick Perry, saying, “there is hope for America, and we will find it on our knees,” has invited other governors and many other national and Christian political leaders to join him in a “solemn gathering of prayer and fasting” in August in Houston.

Perry said recently he is considering a run for the Republican nomination to contest the presidency in 2012 against Barack Obama.

“I sincerely hope you’ll join me in Houston on August 6th, and take your place in Reliant Stadium with praying people asking for God’s forgiveness, wisdom and provision,” Perry wrote in materials promoting the event, called “The Response, a Call to Prayer for a Nation in Crisis.”

A message on the event’s website says it is in response to an historic crisis and calls it “a non-denominational, apolitical Christian prayer meeting,” with the goal “to rise up and make a sound that will be heard in heaven.”

“Right now, America is in crisis,” Perry says. “We have been besieged by financial debt, terrorism, and a multitude of natural disasters. As a nation, we must come together, and call upon Jesus to guide us.”   - Reuters / 5 June 2011

Following uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen and Bahrain, for three months Syrians have been protesting President Bashar Assad’s dictatorship throughout the whole country, especially on Fridays after prayers in the mosques.

Assad’s response has been to promise reform, and simultaneously, to brutally crush the opposition – even firing from helicopters on protestors. By the end of June his forces had killed at least 1500. Thousands have been wounded and many thrown into prisons and tortured.

British Foreign Secretary William Hague accused Iran of helping Syria quell the anti-government protests, providing  “equipment”  and  logistical  support  on how to crush the opposition, the Daily Telegraph reported. Hague criticized Iran’s “hypocrisy in world affairs.”

In early June elements of the Syrian opposition attacked government troops …

JUNE 6/11. Syrian State TV announced that “terrorist gangs” had killed at least 120 troops and security officers, most of them in the embattled northern town of Jisr al-Shughour.

In response, President Assad sent tanks and attack helicopters, armed with heavy machine guns, to strike rebel positions. In Jisr al-Shughour near the Turkish border, tanks blasted residential areas.  Heavy fighting also raged in Idlib, and Maarat al-Numaan.  In these places, the Syrian army encountered the guns of a Muslim Brotherhood militia fighting alongside a group of defecting soldiers, according to our military sources.

As the al-Assad’s regime massacred many in these towns in retaliation, tens of thousands of Syrians fled their country in search of refuge in Turkey and Lebanon.  Turkey permitted the refugees to enter, and set up tent camps for them.

Contrary to media reports that say up to 10,000 Syrian refugees had crossed into Turkey for shelter and a few thousand who took to the hills inside Syria, debkafile’s military sources report that the real figure is nearer 250,000.  -

The Turkish PM, Recep Erdogan, has strongly condemned Assad’s brutality against his people, and called the crackdown on Syrian civilians, barbaric.  Erdogan is reported to be considering sending Turkish troops into North Syria to establish a buffer zone between Syria and Turkey, to give respite to the thousands of refugees.

JUNE 19. Turkey began ferrying food, clean water and medical supplies to the starving and traumatized people hiding in the hills of northern Syria - many of whom had lost family members and all their belongings and property, their homes, businesses and crops that have been destroyed and confiscated in such towns as Jisr al-Shugour. Turkish helicopters dropped supplies to people hiding in inaccessible places.

Assad has not been deterred by Turkey’s efforts, but he has sternly warned that aid to the refugees and displaced persons on Syrian soil would be deemed as foreign military action, and will draw an appropriate response.

Assad is quite barefacedly showing he is not scared of a showdown with Washington or Ankara. He estimates that in the final reckoning, neither will venture military action against his regime and army.

Even the US president’s condemnation of the regime’s “outrageous” use of violence against the protesters, saying it must “end now,” told the Syrian ruler he still has time to play with. Obama still held back from naming Bashar Assad as responsible for the violence, or calling on him to step down.

JUNE 21/11. The Syrian army went into action, the day after Assad’s speech. They attempted to drive back to their homes, the nearly quarter of a million civilians who, to escape military persecution, had fled from towns and villages near the Turkish border.

This appeared to be Assad’s answer to the phone conversation between President Obama and the Turkish PM, after which a senior Turkish official gave the Syrian President less than a week to make good on his promised reforms, and end the violence against his populations.

The US and NATO continue to pile up military assets in the Mediterranean and Turkey. The USS George H.W. Bush carrier, cruising in the Mediterranean opposite Syrian shores, has been joined by the USS Truxtun missile destroyer and the USS Barry guided missile destroyer which sailed out of the Italian port of Gaeta on June 17.

Also that same day, Turkey assumed command of the Standing NATO Maritime Group-2 Response Force in the Mediterranean.   -

JUNE 20/11. French foreign minister, Alain Juppe, has predicted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad will be the next to fall in the “Arab Spring,” even as the EU pinned its hopes on Turkey helping to stop violence.

Speaking to the press after an EU foreign ministers’ meeting in Luxembourg, Juppe said: “Some people think there is still time for him to change and to engage in a reform process ... As for me, I doubt it. I think the point of no return has been reached. In any case, today’s Assad’s declaration doesn’t change anything.”

Juppe’s remark came after Bashar Assad on TV promised to make reforms but also blamed unrest on a “virus” which must be “eradicated” in language reminiscent of Colonel Gadhafi’s pre-NATO air strike talk of opposition being “cockroaches” and “rats.”

Assad’s forces stand accused by rights groups of murdering 1,300 people, including torture and mutilation of children.   – EUOBSERVER

JUNE 22/11.  Western governments began to warn their nationals of an impending collapse in Syria. The British Foreign Office urged its nationals to leave Syria immediately while foreign carriers were still operating.

Western diplomatic sources said Assad, despite significant help from Iran, has failed to quell the revolt in Syria. They said the failure could bolster the opposition and spark a mutiny among the non-Alawites in the military.

“Over the last two weeks, Assad has used just about all of his force to stop the protests and has clearly failed,” a Western diplomat said. “The next step could be a slide into civil war that would pit Alawites against Sunnis.”   -

JUNE 30/11. NATO head Anders Fogh Rasmussen has said there is to be no military intervention in Syria despite similar levels of government-sponsored violence as in Libya.

In May, mobs of Syrian/Palestinians sought to penetrate Israel’s border on the Golan Heights.  Some succeeded.  It has now come to light that the Syrian regime paid poor farmers in the north, $1,000 to travel to the Israel border at the Golan Heights, to challenge the IDF. And then another $25,000 was paid to their families if they were killed, according to the opposition Reform Party of Syria.

Even so, the Syrian security machine failed to enlist the thousands of Palestinian and Syrian volunteers they hoped would brave the Israeli troops manning the Golan.   –  Arutz Sheva

Israel Warns Assad He Is on Death List If He Attacks

A Kuwaiti newspaper reports that Israel has warned Syrian President Bashar Assad that he will be targeted if he tries to start a war with Israel to take the glare off his brutal suppression of the uprising in his country.

The al-Jarida newspaper reported that the warning was sent through mediators in Turkey following intelligence reports of exceptional movements of Syrian troops and re-location of long-range missiles.

“It seems unrealistic to think that Assad would attack Israel, since he knows that is one thing the country’s western allies will not allow him to do.”

JUNE 16/11. After five months of political stagnation, Lebanon has a new government headed by Najib Mikati, an ally of Syrian President Bashar Assad and Hizb’ollah. Formed suddenly on June 13, the 30-minister lineup has awarded an unprecedented number of portfolios – 18, including defense interior – to Hizb’ollah loyalists and pro-Syrian politicians. Gone is the careful sectarian balancing act which maintained a measure of equilibrium and kept civil war in Lebanon at bay.  The situation now is this ...

1. Lebanon’s first pro-Syrian defence minister can bend the Lebanese army to the will of Damascus and the pro-Iranian Hizb’ollah. The minister, Suleiman Franjiyeh, belongs to the influential northern Lebanese Christian clan whose private militia is traditionally funded by the Assad family in Damascus.

2. Franjiyeh can count on firm support from the new interior minister, Brig. Gen. Marwan Charbel, one of his followers who will control all the national intelligence and security services. Close cooperation between the two promises Damascus and Hizb’ollah total grip on every aspect of security - domestic and external. Pro-Western agencies in Lebanon are in for hard times.

General Charbel is close to another Christian powerhouse with a role in government, Gen. Michel Aoun, leader of the Free Patriotic Movement and Hizb’ollah’s chief Christian ally.

This interior minister was chosen to cement the disparate parts of government and push the Christian President Gen. Michel Suleiman into a corner from which he has no choice but to kowtow to an administration which is the tool of Damascus and Hizb’ollah.

3. Aoun’s Christian bloc was awarded eight ministerial portfolios, including the important justice, energy minister and telecommunications.

Now telecommunications is in friendly hands.

4. Damascus and Hizb’ollah have also attained command of Lebanon’s judicial and security systems in time to anticipate the international court’s publication of indictments for the 2005 assassination of the former Lebanese PM, Rafiq Hariri.

According to tips they have received, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon-STL plans to issue indictments against Syrian military intelligence officials and members of Hizb’ollah’s security and intelligence organizations at the end of this month or in early July.

The new Lebanese government is structured to outmaneuver the special tribunal by issuing a statement invalidating its authority and refusing to obey its decrees.

5. The pro-Iranian and pro-Syrian government installed now in Beirut is a major shot in the arm for the radical Iranian-Syrian- Hizb’ollah alliance which has sagged after the loss of one of its senior members, Turkey.

In the last three months, Erdogan has established rapport with US President Barack Obama, as a result of which Iran, Syria and Hizb’ollah decided to drop him. The new Lebanese government makes it possible to replace Turkey by Lebanon, the state, rather than Hizb’ollah, the movement, as a full-fledged member of their alliance.                                            -

Four top Hizb’ollah terrorists have been indicted by the Hague-based Special Tribunal for Lebanon for the murder of former President Rafik al-Hariri. The indictments were issued minutes after the conclusion of a meeting between Lebanese officials and members of the Special Tribunal.

Lebanon’s Prosecutor General, Sayyed Merza, whose office issued the indictments, said:  “Today, we witness together a distinctive historic moment in the political, judicial, security and moral life of Lebanon.”

He called for a swift arrest and trial, and urged the government to continue cooperating with the tribunal, “and not to evade pursuing the accused and handing them over to justice, which is a guarantee of democracy and stability.”

Hizb’ollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah, declared that the four indicted men would never be handed over!

JUNE 22/11. The German judge who was in charge of an investigation into the murder of Rafik Hariri, says Bashar Assad ordered the assassination as he feared  Hariri would overturn the Syrian regime.                                                                -

Lebanon’s Hizb’ollah is preparing for a possible war with Israel to relieve perceived Western pressure to topple Syrian President Bashar Assad, its guardian ally.

The radical Shi’ite group is watching the unrest in neighboring Syria with alarm and is determined to prevent the West from exploiting popular protests to bring down Assad, say sources close to the movement.

Hizb’ollah supported pro-democracy movements that toppled Western-backed leaders in Tunisia and Egypt, but it will not stand idly by as international pressure mounts on Assad to yield to protesters.

It is committed to do whatever it takes politically to help deflect what it sees as a foreign campaign against Damascus, but it is also readying for a possible war with Israel if Assad is weakened.

“Hizb’ollah will never intervene in Syria. This is an internal issue for President Bashar to tackle. But when it sees the West gearing up to bring him down, it will not just watch,” a Lebanese official told Reuters. “This is a battle for existence for the group and it is time to return the favour (of Syria’s support). It will do that by fending off some of the international pressure.”

Hizb’ollah believes the West is working to reshape the Middle East by replacing Assad with a ruler friendly to Israel and hostile to itself.

Analysts rule out the possibility of a full-scale regional war involving Syria, Iran and Lebanon on one side against Israel backed by the United States. A war pitting Hizb’ollah against Israel was more likely, they said.

In the meantime Hizb’ollah, which has praised other Arab uprisings and enjoys strong support among ordinary Arabs over its confrontations with Israel, has seen its image tarnished because of its support for Assad.  -

JUNE 22/11. According to various sources, Israel and Turkey are engaged in direct secret talks, with American encouragement, in an attempt to restore normal relations.

Netanyahu sent a congratulatory message to Erdogan on his recent re-election. He was quoted in the Turkish Zaman, a pro-Islamic newspaper that supports the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) of Prime Minister Erdogan, as saying:

“My government will be happy to work with the new Turkish government on finding a resolution to all outstanding  issues  between  our  countries,  in  the hope of re-establishing our cooperation and renewing the spirit of friendship which has characterized the relations between our peoples for many generations.”

A good sign of the attempt to improve relations was the Turkish pullout from the forthcoming Gaza flotilla.

A few theories suggest themselves to explain why the Turkish government is in a more benevolent mood. The elections in Turkey are over and the AKP has gotten all the mileage it can from the anti-Israeli policy. Turkey has seen in Libya and currently in Syria that a pro-Arab policy is not always a bed of roses. In Libya, Turkey lost  investments. Big numbers of Syrian refugees fleeing the Assad regime have crossed over into Turkey. This has caused Syria to raise the issue of what the major humanitarian crisis really is – Gaza or Syria.  – Arutz Sheva

Iran, the Palestinians and the most radical Arab nations are convinced that Israel is soon to be wiped out. The Jewish state is being surrounded  by  hostile nations and military forces,  that are seeking to force it back to the indefensible 1949 borders and a divided Jerusalem.

Renewed Israel-Palestinian negotiations have been rendered virtually impossible by Hamas’ participation in the Palestinian government, as Hamas is adamant; it will not recognise Israel.

Having failed to gain its objectives, the Palestinian Authority is now preparing to seek recognition of a Palestinian state based on the 1949 armistice lines, in the UN General Assembly in September.  About 116 nations are expected to support its unilateral independence.

The White House is pressing Benjamin Netanyahu to publicly adopt President Obama’s view that Israel’s pre-1967 border should be the basis for future peace talks.

The Obama White House appealed to Jewish leaders to accept that the “request” made to Israel was part of an effort to head off Palestinian plans to declare an independent state at the UN in September.

An anti-Israel measure could be adopted by the UN General Assembly, but if it comes up before the Security Council, President Obama will feel compelled to veto - as supporting an anti-Israel resolution would threaten his own chances of success in the upcoming 2012 presidential elections.

So in an effort to head off a UN vote on Palestinian statehood, President Obama is pressurizing Israel and the Palestinian Authority to begin talks – talks which Obama hopes will be kept afloat well into 2012, and that this “peace initiative” will give his re-election bid a boost.

While the Palestinians remained divided – Fatah against Hamas – a UN resolution would be highly unlikely. Therefore the two sides, in spite of wide differences, decided to “make up” and form a unity government. An Egyptian-sponsored reconciliation agreement was signed in Cairo in early May.  Expected disagreements surfaced in June

JUNE 19/11. Talks regarding forming a new Palestinian cabinet, scheduled for Cairo, between PA President Mahmoud Abbas, who heads the Fatah movement, and Hamas chief Khaled Mashaal, were postponed.

The talks have reportedly stalled on the issue of who will be the Prime Minister to head the transitional government.

Abbas has been pushing for his current PM, Salam Fayyad, to continue in the role in the interim government. Hamas, however, has rejected Fayyad, saying his views are too “moderate.”  Hamas’s preferred candidate for the post was Jamal al-Khudari, a prominent businessman from the Gaza Strip.

A PA official claimed that Hamas was sabotaging reconciliation at the behest of the Iranians.  But Hamas leaders say Abbas has succumbed to US-Israeli pressure (to suspend financial aid to the Palestinians if the agreement is implemented), and that he is backtracking on the Egyptian-sponsored reconciliation agreement.

The PA, in response, said that Iran, which supports Hamas financially, has instructed the movement to pull out of the agreement with Fatah. “Hamas is nothing but a tool in the hands of Iran,” a PA official said. “There can be no agreement with a movement that serves the agenda of a regime like Iran, which is a threat to Arab national security.”

“The honeymoon between Fatah and Hamas seems to have ended very quickly,” remarked a Fatah official in Ramallah. “The gap between the two parties remains very wide on most issues.” - Jerusalem Post

But after both Abbas and Mashaal separately visited Turkey ...

After talks with Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Mahmud Abbas vowed to press ahead with efforts for a unity government. “We are continuing on the path of reconciliation and there will be no turning back,” he said.

Turkey has sought to mediate in efforts to reconcile Fatah and Hamas, and Erdogan offered “all support” to secure Palestinian unity. He also promised to “resolutely” support a Palestinian bid for membership in the United Nations.

The Palestinian government incorporating Hamas is a major hindrance to peace negotiations, as Hamas refuses to recognise Israel, and Israel refuses to talk with a government that includes a radical terrorist bloc.

MAY 16/11. Hamas’ Gaza PM Ismail Haniyeh spoke to Muslim worshipers, telling them to pray for an end to Israel. “Palestinians mark the Nakba Day with great hope of bringing to an end the Zionist project in Palestine,” Haniyeh told 10,000 people at Gaza City’s al-Omari mosque. -  AP

President Abbas says he prefers to return to negotiations with Israel rather than  demand a UN vote on recognizing a Palestinian state.  His proviso remains: Israel must negotiate from pre-1967 borders.

A PA envoy to the UN says the PA will seek UN recognition for statehood in September even if peace negotiations with Israel are under way.

ISRAEL has launched a global diplomatic campaign to persuade countries to vote against recognition of a Palestinian state at the UN General Assembly.

EU foreign affairs chief, Catherine Ashton, has launched a bold initiative to avert a potentially explosive dispute at the UN in September. She says the Quartet - the EU, Russia, the UN and the US - should hold a high-level meeting before the summer which spells out that Israel must pull back to its pre-1967 borders, in return for security guarantees from the Palestinians.

The move is designed to give “Palestine” an incentive to put aside its plans to seek full UN recognition - a move which could split the EU into pro-Israeli and pro-Palestinian camps, and damage EU-US relations.

QUARTET in last push to prevent ITS Palestinian U N bid

In a last-minute effort to stop the Palestinians from seeking unilateral recognition at the UN, the Quartet is planning to present a new international peace plan based on Obama’s “1967” ideas, at a summit in Washington on July 11.

The summit will be taking place at a very critical time – only four days before the appointed date that the Palestinians set to officially appeal to the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and to send him Palestine’s request for full membership at the UN.

Israeli FM, Avigdor Lieberman told Catherine Ashton, a Unilateral Declaration of Statehood (UDS), by the Palestinian Authority would nullify the 1993 Oslo Accords, which stipulate a bilateral framework, and proscribe unilateral moves, and that serve as the basis for economic, infrastructure, and security cooperation between Israel and the Palestinian Authority.

“A move like that (UDS) will be a violation of all the agreements that were signed until today. Israel will no longer be committed to the agreements signed with the Palestinians in the past 18 years,” Lieberman said.

The nullification of the Oslo Accords would, in all likelihood, render a PA state unviable and ultimately force Israel to assert jurisdiction in areas currently administered by the PA.

JUNE 20/11. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) has called on Hamas to accept the Quartet’s three conditions for recognizing the Islamist movement – renunciation of violence, recognition of Israel and acceptance of the agreements signed in the past by Israel and the PLO.

Deputy Knesset Speaker, MK Majallie Whbee, said that all of the countries attending the meeting in Croatia, including Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and the Palestinian Authority, voted in favor of the resolution. The assembly, which has 23 member-states and aims to foster cooperation among Mediterranean countries, also called for a return to Israeli-Palestinian negotiations and an end to the conflict.

Earlier, in his speech, Obama said, “We will continue to demand that Hamas accept the basic responsibilities of peace, including recognizing Israel’s right to exist and rejecting violence and adhering to all existing agreements.”

Now, in a sudden reversal, the Obama Administration appears to be pressuring Israel to sit down with people who won’t stick to past agreements and don’t recognize Israel’s right to exist.

JUNE 15/11. In his policy speech at the State Department on May 19, President Obama said, “We believe the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 (pre-6 day war) lines with mutually agreed swaps, so that secure and recognized borders are established for both states.”

Several US senators have decided to challenge Obama’s policy towards Israel by introducing a resolution that opposes any Israeli withdrawal to the indefensible 1949 armistice lines.

Jordan to oppose PA statehood bid

Amman’s national interests ‘could be in danger’ if the Palestinians’ General Assembly bid succeeds. A senior Jordanian official says the Hashemite kingdom will vote against a Palestinian statehood bid scheduled to be put before the UN General Assembly in September.   –

What is quite clear, is that all these developments are preparing the stage for the coming World War with Jerusalem in the epicentre.

TODAY many of our nations are in the midst of a vitriolic battle over CO2 in the atmosphere, which the “experts” say is going to bring global disaster before the end of this century.

Green scientists and green politicians, want their nations, and the world, to impose a “carbon tax” on “carbon polluters.”  They are talking about CO2 - carbon dioxide - which is necessary for life, just as oxygen and nitrogen are.  Carbon Dioxide is one part carbon and two parts oxygen.

Is CO2 a pollutant?  CO2 is a natural gas, and it is essential to life, and therefore it cannot be called pollution.

Many opponents of the climate change theory believe this “science” is being used for a socialist agenda, and that “carbon taxing” will help to bankrupt the country. They maintain CO2 is not heating up the planet, and causing cyclones, floods, droughts and forest fires.

I agree. And the reason for the environmental disasters  we see striking the world, I will give below.

But firstly  I would like to ask all Green Prime Ministers a question:  If you are genuinely concerned about CO2 pollution in the atmosphere, why don’t you insist on taxing the countries that have volcanos spewing out billions of tonnes of ash cloud?  Or better still, why don’t you make a serious attempt to cap the volcanos?

Isn’t it true that man has not created all that pollution?

Reliable sources tell us that the whole of humanity is responsible for only 3% of man-made CO2. Nature produces 97%.

                                  A “CARBON TAX”

In Australia, the Prime Minister and her Labour-Green coalition, in spite of intense opposition, are going like a bull at a gate  – a “do or bust” determination to impose a carbon tax on the nation.

They seem to believe that that is going to help save the planet from a horrible destruction.

On June 16, the Labour/Green government announced it is to release a $12 million advertisement to promote the case for Carbon Tax.  Many are asking, Why should taxpayers pay for such a measure which will tax our economy more, and will barely cause a dent on global emissions?

The Australian government’s “YES CARBON TAX” campaign claims Australia is one of the world’s greatest producers of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the world. The fact is Australia is one of the lowest!

As aged and respected parliamentarian, Rev Fred Nile MLC, explains: “Australians only contribute 1.5% of the total 3% of man-made CO2. That is a microscopic amount, and certainly does not justify the $20 per tonne carbon tax burden on all Australians.”

“The only impact the carbon tax will have, is on the cost of living for struggling Australian families,” Mr Nile said.  - Carbon Tax Ripoff, Media Release, June 10/11.

The fact of life is that all humans and animals breathe out CO2 every minute of every day.  And CO2 is produced also by burning carbon.

Carbon is a naturally occurring chemical compound found in all living things.

As part of the carbon cycle known as photosynthesis, plants and trees absorb carbon dioxide, sunlight, and water to produce carbohydrate energy for themselves, and oxygen as a “waste” product.

And the world needs that oxygen!

Carbon dioxide is also generated as a by-product of combustion, and is emitted from volcanoes, hot springs, and geysers.

Greg Sheridan, foreign editor of The Australian, on June 27/11, says: “The Gillard government has gone to vast and expensive lengths to convince the people of what is essentially a fiction:- that the rest of the world is taking action on greenhouse gas emissions commensurate with that which Australia would take if it introduced the biggest carbon tax in the world.

The Obama administration, having abandoned “cap and trade,” has made a general pledge to try to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from its 2007 level by 17%, by 2020.

Sheridan quotes Jim Sensenbrenner, a US Republican congressman who is a key figure in the US on climate change.  Mr Sensenbrenner says the US “cap and trade” – the US term for an emissions-trading scheme – was “dead in the US” …  “any kind of direct carbon tax is dead in the US.” Sensenbrenner believes Obama’s target will neither be achieved nor approached.

Sheridan adds: “No one believes that Obama’s 17% target will happen, unless the US is going through such a catastrophic depression that emissions fall as a consequence of a collapsing economy.”

Sensenbrenner adds:  “Australia will be embracing ‘unilateral economic disarmament’ if it adopts a carbon tax.” – / June 30 /11

In fact, Australia would be the only coal producer in the world with a carbon tax.

If the Gillard government rams the proposed “carbon tax” through parliament, it will not solve the so-called “climate change,” nor lower the so-called “global emissions.”  What it will do is place Australia at a great disadvantage against countries like Indonesia, Canada, Russia, Colombia, India, USA and South Africa.

  BUT …

what the world’s prime ministers, and the rest of them, the greens and non-greens alike, should be greatly concerned about is the great disaster that the Bible prophesies will happen! And that will truly be a …

This is the real danger! Forget about taxing; the wealth of the whole worth will not stem this “Great, Great, Grand-daddy of all Disasters”!

All the present experts’ dire predictions are dwarfed by what is actually going to happen, and they may come very much sooner than they expect!

All the present disasters – cyclones, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, fires, droughts, pestilences and plagues are in fact, warnings  -  they’re simply a foretaste of what is to come on the whole world.

“And we have the prophetic word confirmed and made very certain; and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the Day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts.”  (2 Peter 1:19)

The Scriptures give a great deal of prophecy about the endtime global climax of the age, and what causes it.

“For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, with the anticipation that the creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the glorious freedom of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.” (Romans 8:20-22)

The environment is hostile because it was subjected to corruption.  That corruption began with the entry of sin into the world at the Garden of Eden, through Satan’s temptation and seduction of Eve and Adam.

“Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, so death spread to all men, because all sinned.” (Romans 5:12)

Sin and rebellion against God, the Ruler of the Universe, is the reason why the globe has become so violent. Man’s abuse and polluting of his environment, along with his selfishness and carelessness, is a major reason for our antagonistic environment. No doubt many Greens would agree to this last sentence, although they may not concede that it is man’s sin and rebellion against Almighty God that is the real cause!

The present climate is certainly not the first time that Yahweh the Heavenly, Eternal Authority has respond-ed to man’s corruption. In the days of Noah, rebellion reached intolerable levels. As we read:

“Then YHWH* saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time. And YHWH was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.

And YHWH said, ‘I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the earth - from man to animals and from creeping things to the birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.’ But Noah found grace in the eyes of YHWH.” (Genesis 6:5-8)

*YHWH - Yahweh - the Hebrew Name of  God. (Exodus 3:15)

“Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight; the earth was full of violence. God saw how corrupt the earth had become; for all humanity on the earth had corrupted its ways. Then God said to Noah, ‘The end of all people has now come before Me; for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Watch! I am about to destroy them along with the earth’.” (Genesis 6: 5-8)

The result was the universal flood.

“The waters rose greatly on the earth, more and more, so that all the high mountains everywhere under the heavens were covered. The waters covered the mountains and rose fifteen cubits (about 18ft - 5.5 metres) above them.  Every living thing that moved on the earth perished - fowls and birds, cattle and other livestock, wild beasts and all the creatures that crawl upon the land, and all mankind; everything on dry land that had the breath of the spirit of life in its nostrils died. Thus He wiped out every living thing that was upon the face of the earth, from man to animals to creeping things and birds of the sky. They were wiped from the earth, and only Noah was left, and those that were with Him in the ark.” (Genesis 7:19-23)

The Messiah, Y’shua, Jesus, indicated that in the days prior to His return, worldwide conditions would be as they were in Noah’s day.  (Luke 17:26-27)

It’s not only the conditions of the environment and man’s corruption, but also the judgment – the extent of the endtime judgment. It will be worse than the Great Flood. Y’shua said:

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has never occurred since the beginning of the world until now; and there will be nothing like it again.        (Matthew 24:21)

Man did not create the flood, but his sin was the cause of it. And man is not creating our global environmental hostility; it’s his sin and rejection of God’s Word that  is the cause of it!

Look at these terrifying prophecies …

“Look! YHWH lays the earth waste, devastates it, distorts its surface, and scatters is inhabitants ... The earth will be completely laid waste and completely despoiled, for YHWH has spoken this word.

“The earth mourns and withers; the world fades and withers; the exalted of the people of the earth languish. The earth is also polluted by its inhabitants, for they have transgressed the teachings, changed the laws, and broken the everlasting covenant.

“Therefore a curse devours the earth, and those who live in it are held guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned up, and few men are left. …  The treacherous deal treacherously, and the treacherous deal very treacherously.’

“Terror and pit and snare confront you, O inhabitant of the earth. Whoever flees at the sound of terror will fall into a pit, and he who climbs out of the pit will be caught in a snare; for the windows above are opened, and the foundations of the earth shake.

“The earth is broken asunder, the earth is split through, the earth is shaken violently. The earth reels to and fro like a drunkard, and it totters like a shack, for its transgression is heavy upon it…”   (Isaiah 24:1, 3-6, 16-20)

“Egypt will become a desolate wasteland. Then they will know that I am YHWH. Because you said, ‘The Nile is mine, and I have made it,’ therefore, be sure, I am against you and against your rivers and I will make the land of Egypt a total desolate waste … no foot of man will pass through it, nor will the foot of an animal pass through it. No-one will live there for forty years. I will make the land of Egypt desolate in the midst of devastated lands; and her cities will lie desolate for forty years among ruined cities.”  (Ezekiel 29:9-12)

“Alas for that day!  for the day of YHWH is near, and it will come as destruction from the Almighty. Has not food been cut off before our eyes, gladness and joy from the house of our God? The seeds shrivel under their clods; the storehouses are desolate, the barns are broken down, for the grain has dried up.

“How the beasts groan! The herds of cattle wander aimlessly because there is no pasture for them. Even the flocks of sheep are suffering.”

“What the gnawing locusts has left, the swarming locust has eaten; and what the swarming locust has left, the crawling locust has eaten; and what the crawling locust has left, the stripping locust has eaten.”   (Joel 1: 15-18, 4)

“Blow a trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of YHWH is coming; surely it is near -  a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and gross darkness.

“As the dawn is spread over the mountains, so there is a great and mighty people coming. There has never been anything like it, nor will there ever be in the ages to come. A fire consumes before them, and behind them a flame burns ...” (Joel 2:1-3)

“See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those who refused to listen to the one who warned them on earth did not escape, how much less will we escape if we turn away from Him who warns us from heaven. At that time His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, ‘ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE HEAVENS’.” (Hebrews 12:25-26)

“Then another horse, a fiery red one, went forth. Its rider was given power to take peace from the earth and cause men to slay one another. A huge sword was given to him.”

“I looked and saw a pale, ashen horse; and he who sat on it had the name “Death”; and Hades (the realm of the dead) was following close behind him. And authority was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with famine, with plague and pestilence, and by the wild beasts of the earth.”   (Revelation 6:4, 8)

“I watched as He opened the sixth seal; and there was a great earthquake; and the sun turned black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became blood-red; and the stars of the sky fell to earth, as a fig tree casts its unripe figs when shaken by a strong wind.

“The sky vanished like a scroll being rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of its place. “Then the kings of the earth, the great men, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains.

“They called to the mountains and to the rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the Presence of Him (the Almighty) who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb; for the great day of His wrath has come; and who is able to stand (before it)?’” (Revelation 6: 4, 8, 12-17)

“So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to blow them. The first angel blew his trumpet, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were hurled down upon the earth; and a third of the earth was burned up, and third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up.

“The second angel blew his trumpet, and something like a great mountain blazing with fire was hurled into the sea; and a third of the sea turned into blood; and a third of the living creatures in the sea died; and a third of the ships were destroyed.

“The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters, and the name of the star is Wormwood - ‘Bitterness.’ A third of the waters became wormwood, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter.

“The fourth angel blew his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, and also a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of their light was darkened; and a third of the day was kept from shining, and likewise the night.”  (Revelation 8:6-12)

“And the fifth angel blew his trumpet, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key of the Abyss - the bottomless pit - was given to him. And he opened the pit of the Abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke came forth locusts upon the earth; and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.

“They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads; and they were not permitted to kill them, but only to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; and they will long to die, but death flees from them.” (Revelation 9:1-6)

“Then the four (demonic) messengers who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released, so that they might kill a third of mankind. And the number of the horsemen of the armies (under their command) was two hundred million. … and this is how I saw the horses in the vision: the riders had breastplates of fiery red, and hyacinth - blue, and sulphur - yellow. And the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire and smoke and sulphur.

A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues, by the fire and the smoke and the sulphur which came out of their mouths.” (Revelation 9:15-18)

“‘Go, pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God upon the earth.’ The first angel went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and loathsome and malignant sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshipped his image. The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person; and every living thing in the sea died. The third angel poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of waters; and they became blood.” (Revelation 16:1-4)

“The fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun; and the sun was given power to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the Name of God (Yahweh) who had control over these plagues; but they did not repent and give Him glory.

“The fifth angel poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. Men gnawed their tongues in agony.”                                                                                                                           (Revelation 16: 8-10)

“ Then there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as there had not been since man came to be upon the earth, so great an earthquake was it, and so mighty.

“The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. And God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of His furious wrath and indignation. Then every island fled away, and the mountains could not be found; and huge hailstones from heaven, each weighing about a talent (about 40 to 50 kilograms), fell upon men; and men blasphemed God on account of the plague of hail, because the plague was extremely severe.”  (Revelation 16:18-21)

So my friends, there are some of the Biblical, geophysical prophecies.  There’s many more, and many others that describe the economical and political conditions of the coming Great Tribulation, including …

“Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a haunt for every unclean spirit, and a haunt for every unclean and hateful bird. … Her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her depravity and crimes. …Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, (the Global Economic System) the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come.”

“Woe, woe, the great city, clothed in fine linen, in purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold, precious stones and pearls; for in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste. And every shipmaster, and every passenger and sailor, and as many as work for their living at sea, stood at a distance, and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, “What city is like the great city?”

“And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping, mourning and saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been brought to ruin.’ With such violence, Babylon the great city will be thrown down, and will never be found again.” (Revelation 18:2, 5, 10, 16-19, 21)

and there’s …

“He (the False Prophet) was given power to give breath to the image of the Beast (Antichrist), so that it could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image of the Beast to be killed.

“He compels all, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands, or on their foreheads, so that no one should be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name ... 666. ” (Revelation 13:15-18)

and also …

“And they go out to the kings of the whole world, to gather them together for the battle of the Great Day of YHWH EL SHADDAI - God Almighty.”                                                                                                    (Revelation 16:14 and 19:11-21)

So my friend, the world is not just simply endangered by changing climate!  It is racing towards a horrendous upheaval – the climax of the age!

“YHWH, is coming to judge the earth. He judges the  world  in  righteousness,  and  the  peoples  with equity.”  (Psalm 98:9)

“Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent, because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all by raising Him from the dead – Jesus, Y’shua the Messiah.” (Acts 17:30-31)

The Heavenly Master says to our present sin-loving, hell-bent generation:

“I tell you … unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:3)

But He also brings a word of tremendous courage to all who love and trust in Him:

“Let not your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s House are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you, for I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, so that you also may be where I am.” (John 14:1-3)

“For God has not destined us to suffer His wrath, but to receive salvation through our Master, Y’shua the Messiah, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him.”   (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10)

If you do not know the Lord Jesus as your personal Saviour, I want you to know that He is calling to you, and wants you to receive His salvation.

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in the Messiah, Y’shua our Master.”   (Romans 6:23)

“For while we were still helpless, the Messiah, at the right time died for the ungodly.” (Romans 5:6)

“And He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness - by whose stripes you were healed.”  (1Peter 2:24)

To receive Him as your Saviour, and to be included in the company of the saved, simply pray to Y’shua, the Lord Jesus, confessing that you are a sinner, and that you need forgiveness. Express your faith in Him; asking Him to be your Saviour and God. And just give your life over to Him.  You will never regret this decision.

“Believe in the Master, Y’shua the Messiah (trust in Him), and you will be saved; (and this applies both to) you and your household as well.” (Acts 16:31)

(Joel 2:32  &  Romans 10:13)

But dear friend, whatever you do, don’t wait until it is too late, to call on the LORD your Creator!

The Decision Prayer next page may help you to express faith in Christ. Pray sincerely, trusting God to save you right now.

Oh God, be merciful to me, a sinner.  I come to You, Heavenly Father, just as I am, confessing my need of your grace and salvation.

I believe in Y’shua, Jesus the Messiah, Your eternal Son, whom You sent to earth to be the sacrifice for my sins and for the sins of the world.  I believe He died for me on the cross, and that He rose again on the third day, and is exalted at Your Right Hand.  Father I believe You will forgive my sins this very moment, and make me Your true child, and a new person “in Christ.”

Y’shua, my Master, my Saviour, I yield my life to You, and I trust You to fulfil Your promises in me this very moment; that You will save me and dwell in me; that You will make me a temple of Your Holy Spirit; that You will give me the gift of eternal life, and will save me from the Great Tribulation.

Master, make me Your true follower. Deliver me from all my sinful and selfish ways, and reign in every part of my life. By Your grace, I will own You as my Saviour from this day on.

Thank You, Master for bringing me to this decision. Thank You, Father for hearing and answering my prayer. Thank You for saving me, and writing my name in Your Book of Life in Heaven.  Thank You, Father.  I pray in the Name of Y’shua the Messiah. Thank You. Amen.
